The Church of Saarijärvi, Finland

The Church of Saarijärvi was built during the years 1846 and 1849.
 The statue of Saarijärven Paavo

My grandgrandparents Herman and Hilma Korkealehto, originally the first family name was Ramsi (in the family history it is explained coming from the name of Ramsay)! Herman Korkealehto visited in America some years to earn money between years 1895 - 1905. Korkealehto was a name of their house.

The church is one of Engel's churches, and it was built under the direction of Jaakko Kuorikoski, the famous churchbuilder.

This was painted by Aleksandra Såltin in 1911.
The wooden sculptures, Angel, and Madonna were made by Hannes Autere.

The paintings were painted by Johan N.Backman (1709 - 1765) and the paintings were the altarpieces in the former church.

 Madonna.
